Newbeam has signed an agreement with SmartPly Europe Ltd
2011-10-15Newbeam Sweden AB has October 10th 2011 signed an agreement with the Irish OSB Group SmartPly Europe Ltd. SmartPly owns forests corresponding to 7% of Ireland's surface and has a turnover of € 150 million / year.
The agreement means that SmartPly is given an exclusivity to within 6-9 months evaluate the innovation of Newbeam prior to an acquisition.
A contributing reason for SmartPly having such a great interest in Newbeam is that an independent evaluation of Newbeam products conducted by Edinburgh Napier University has shown interesting test results showing that Newbeam products stand up well in technical performance relative to existing products on the market. A potential for improvement remains. In addition to this there are also the technical, environmental and economic added value Newbeam will offer customers.
New beds for the future - An early collaboration with great potential
2011-06-02Newbeam has been evolving a contact with one of the biggest bed manufacturer in Europe for a long time. The last six months the focus has been on designing a specific construction method based on the Newbeam profiles. The method has, according to the first evaluation from the bed manufacturer, a great potential to force down the production costs.
Without going into further details, the explanation is simply that the capabilities of the unique Newbeam building system has been utilized to the maximum. Besides the cost savings in the production the environmental benefits of the product will be appreciated by the consumers since they are environmentally aware today.
International partner
2010-10-20The owners and management team of Newbeam took in the spring of 2010 the decision that Newbeam for continued international expansion should find at least one industrial partner to spread the technology internationally. Since then, a number of possible groups have been contacted. The company's Chairman of the Board, Alexander Nyberg, describes the situation as follows: "We knew from the beginning that the numbers of companies who have the resources to produce and sell Newbeam products around the world are limited. The selected contacts have anyway resulted in great interest. We have ongoing dialogues with a number of international concerns that we consider have the right technology know-how and financial resources needed. How the final concept will be is currently very difficult to speculate in, but the interest is that great so it will be settled as I believe."
First house with Newbeam products in Stockholm
2010-06-10Right now is a new building in the central of Stockholm planned. The building will become a show room for new environmentally friendly building products with conference, cafe and restaurant. The building, which will be built in September, has its site on the roof of Hornstull subway station. The project will be inaugurated by the the Mayor of Stockholm City Traffic and Environment and is expected to be a hub for Cleantech technologies in Stockholm. 
Swedish Ninja takes Newbeam to the furniture fair in Milan
2010-02-11The progressive design company Swedish Ninja, founded by the designer Maria Gustavsson, has developed new designed furnitures based on the Newbeam profile NBU170. The furnitures are at the moment exhibited in the Greenhouse at Stockholm Furniture Fair. Swedish Ninja will also attend at the Milano Salone Satelitte on 14-19th of April. Swedish Ninja
New office in Stockholm
2010-01-21To make sales activities more effective Newbeam opens an office in Stockholm. The office is located in the central area of Stockholm's northern port Värtahamnen. Anders Lundström, CEO of Newbeam, are already seeing positive results through the central location that makes it easier for new client meetings and various collaborative projects.

Newbeam will participate in the exhibition Stockholm Cleantech Venture Day
2008-11-07The exhibition is set for meetings between investors from all Europe and the US with promising Cleantech companies from Sweden. The event will be held in Kista November 11. Newbeam is one of 23 selected Swedish Cleantech companies. The event is organized by STING (Stockholm Innovation & Growth), which was founded by City of Stockholm, KTH, och the research institution in Kista.
